Snow blowing... I did it myself!

I am very proud of myself because I read the manual and figured out how to use the new snow blower all by myself.  It wasn't totally intuitive and reading the manual was definitely necessary. We had never used it before and Bob just bought it a week or so ago.  Bob left at 5am this morning for the airport to go to LA for the next 3 days.  It snowed about 4 inches in the night.  That left me to hold down the homestead.  Because we have a north-facing driveway the sun doesn't hit the driveway to melt the snow.  It is crucial to get the snow off so it doesn't make layers and layers of ice.  (We would NEVER buy a house with a north facing driveway!  Good thing we're only renting!)  These are the things you learn very quickly here when looking at houses.  We, on the other hand, had very little rental options so we took this house knowing it was only for a short time.  Anyway, snow-blowing is just something we might as well get used to.

The snow blowing was not a walk in the park... but rewarding.  Now the sun is out and it s beautiful.  I will have to shovel the deck... but I think I'll put that off until later or tomorrow.  (No wonder people in Colorado are in such great shape... you can't just sit around when there is snow to be dealt with.)

I am going to go enjoy some time in our quiet house reading up on ADHD next to the toasty fire in the wood stove that I built myself.  :)
